Our Mission

Primarily for High School students, our Youth Ministry's mission is to create a safe community where teens come by choice in an effort to discover Christ for themselves. The Youth Ministry attempts to realize this mission through a creative and inclusive Youth Group, a formative Confirmation program, and through a spirit filled Youth led Mass.

Youth Group

The youth group is a vital part of youth ministry at St. Gregory's. Everyone is invited regardless of belief or faith background! Check out the Parish Youth Calendar for more information.

During the school year the Youth Group meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00p.m. Come and relax with friends, play games, sing songs, build community, and connect everyday living to God's plan for our lives. Bring a Friend!

Nights out, day trips, retreats, conferences, and service days are also scheduled throughout the year. Check out Events for future outings!

Peer leadership is essential to the youth group. Confirmed students can join the leadership team where they participate in planning events for the youth community. Teen members of the leadership team receive training in peer mentoring and leading small groups. The experiences are priceless and valuable training for future leadership roles.

Confirmation

Confirmation preparation is a two-year program. Each year consists of a once a month class, active involvement in the youth group and parish community, service projects, participation in retreats and a desire to grow in understanding of one’s own faith. Registration begins in June and ends August. For more information, see the Confirmation page.

Youth Led Mass

Join us every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. for the Youth led Mass. The Mass is "youth led" because students are involved as ushers, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, and music ministers. The Youth led Mass is the central focus of the Youth Ministry because it integrates the youth community with the rest of the parish community.
