Heritage-Hospitality-Hope Campaign

The “Heritage - Hospitality - Hope” Campaign begins with a forward-looking and ambitious goal: to carry out our ten-year Master Plan formulated through the “Vision & Voices” program.  Through this parish-wide effort all registered households are being asked to consider prayerfully their God-given blessings and express their devotedness to Saint Gregory the Great, and gratitude to God for choice gifts, by committing to a three-year capital campaign pledge.

The blessing of continued growth of the Saint Gregory the Great faith community precipitates the need for extended facilities on both campuses.  In the fall of 2014 we commenced a 50% hall expansion and new Faith Formation and Nursery buildings.  At the school, six new classrooms provide for a new preschool facility as a feeder toward full registration, and science labs (and resource/counseling center) so that we can continue to be competitive at the junior high level.  In this way we can both survive and thrive for generations to come.

Please contact us if you have questions, or need assistance.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

How much should I contribute?
This is a highly personal decision, but we ask only that you consider what your most generous gift might possibly be.  No one can advise you as to how much you should give.  The individual/family is the only one who actually decides what to contribute, since financial obligations will differ from parishioner to parishioner.  It should be made prayerfully in good conscience and in the true Christian spirit of making a joyful return to God for His many graces and blessings.  What you contribute will be held in the strictest confidence.  This is our parish and only through shared sacrifice can we achieve our goals.  All contributions whether large or small will be gratefully appreciated.

What are the benefits to the donor?
Saint Gregory the Great is far more than the buildings where we gather.  Giving to the Heritage – Hospitality – Hope Campaign is a tax-deductible investment in our faith and future.  This unique opportunity unites all parishioners as a people of God dedicated to the advancement of the Church’s pastoral educational and charitable missions.

What if my personal circumstances change after I make my pledge?
A pledge, like a promise made with the best of intention has a moral obligation.  However, it is not a legally binding covenant. If a change in your personal situation affects your ability to fulfill your pledge simply contact the parish office to adjust your commitment.

Do I need to continue my present level of giving to the weekly Offertory?
Yes, pledges and gifts to the Heritage – Hospitality - Hope Campaign represent a sacrifice above your regular Sunday offertory contributions.  It is essential that we understand that day-to-day operating expenditures are different from capital improvement costs, in the same way our ordinary/personal income and expenses are in a different category than our savings and other assets.  Continuing our weekly giving to Saint Gregory the Great will fund parish operations as well as maintain the pastoral programs, ministries and services upon which our people rely.
