Ash Wednesday

"By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread, Until you return to the ground, from which you were taken; For you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

Genesis 3:19Wednesday, February 14, 2018    •    Mass Times: 6:30am, 8:00am, 12:00pm, and 7:00pm
(Ashes will be distributed during Mass)

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent; the season of preparation for the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.

Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of using ashes made from palm branches blessed on the previous year's Palm Sunday, and placing them on the heads of participants to the accompaniment of the words "Repent, and believe in the Gospel" or "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return".

Saint Gregory the Great will celebrate four Mass times this day as follows: 6:30am, 8:00am, 12:00pm, and 7:00pm.  Please join us and give glory to God by your presence.
