Tuesday    •    February 6, 2018    •    7:00-8:30pm

This presentation on Human Trafficking will be given by San Diego County Chief Deputy District Attorney Summer Stephan, chair of the Human Trafficking Advisory Council and coordinating council for the Human Trafficking Task Force, along with Grace Williams, President of Children of the Immaculate Heart, a Catholic apostolate devoted to female victims of human trafficking.

Combatting Human Trafficking was declared by Pope Francis as a moral imperative.  It is modern-day slavery that is both global and local in its impact on human rights and public safety.  It is a $32 billion-a-year global industry with San Diego listed as a high intensity region.  Recruitment of young victims is taking place in schools across San Diego County.  Please join us to learn about the issue from the experts and to discuss ways that you can help.

Q&A from the audience will follow the presentation.  Refreshments will be served.

All are welcome.  This presentation is appropriate for adults and teens.  The event is free!
