Thanksgiving Mass

"In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus."

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Mass:  Thursday, November 26, 2020 at 9:00 am

Thanksgiving Day is a special day when we celebrate family unity.  As Catholics, we are encouraged to celebrate with readings taken from the Mass in thanksgiving to God.  This Eucharistic celebration leads us in a deep sense of prayer, gratitude and joy. It reminds us to remember that our lives are a continual thanksgiving through our daily activities.

All parishioners of St. Gregory the Great are invited to celebrate our Thanksgiving Mass with the parish family on Thursday, November 26th at 9:00 am.  While we are not able to share our traditional distribution of bread loaves, Father Nick will be blessing all parishioners to celebrate our unity in Christ.

Please join us!

Thanksgiving Collection to Benefit Fr. Joe's Villages

Fr. Joe’s Villages is the cornerstone of San Diego’s fight to prevent and end homelessness one life at a time.   As a one-stop center to address all of the rehabilitative needs of the homeless, Fr. Joe’s Villages offers an array of housing and supportive services:

In giving thanks to our Father in Heaven for all the blessings He has sent our parish family, our Thanksgiving Day Collection will be donated to benefit Fr. Joe’s Villages in their ongoing ministry to help eradicate homelessness in San Diego.

If you will be traveling out of San Diego to visit family for the holiday, please consider making your Thanksgiving donation early with a notation that it is for Fr. Joe’s Villages. Spare envelopes are available in the back of the Church.
