Daily Readings, Daily Meditation, & Saint of the Day
Regretfully, all Confirmation and Youth Events will be cancelled until further notice due to safety concerns over the spread of COVID-19 (Corona Virus). We will monitor the ongoing situation and follow the advice and guidance of federal and state officials and health agencies, as well as adhere to the direction from our own Most Reverend Bishop Robert W. McElroy, Bishop of San Diego. All students are encouraged to study at home. May God bless us all.
O God, We ask your blessing upon our young people. You have gifted each one of them in a special and unique way. May they come to know and share the wonder and awe that lives within them as they grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding of you.
Join us every Sunday at 5:00pm for the youth-led Mass. The Mass is "youth-led" because students are involved as Ushers, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Lectors, Altar Servers, and Choir Members.
The Youth led Mass is the central focus of the Youth Ministry because it integrates the youth community with the rest of the parish community.
All youth and their families are invited to sit together during Mass, in section B, near the choir.
Greeters and Ushers are an important part of the hospitality ministry of Saint Gregory the Great. Warmth, friendliness and a willingness to serve are essential to this ministry.
As ministers of the Word, lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass. Lectors should have a good public speaking voice and good reading skills.
The Youth Choir sings contemporary worship music. This choir is comprised of students from eighth grade to high school.
The Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist at Mass by distributing Holy Communion along with the presiding clergy.
Altar Servers assist the priest during Mass. Participation in this ministry is a special privilege that requires reverence, teamwork, prayer, commitment, responsibility and a willingness to serve.
The Liturgical Environment Ministry helps create a prayerful environment through decoration of the church during the different liturgical seasons.
